BLACK STRAP MOLASSES
'I do pageants.
I’m a super star because I do pageants.
Those others girls must be crazy if they think they’re gonna beat me Honey Boo Boo child.'
A funny, sad and strange exploration of solipsism and constructed identity, Blackstrap Molasses takes you on the journey of creating that final Daisy Duke routine of herself that she's been waiting for.
This is a new Australian work created by the minds of Jes Dalton (Fragments of I Am), Sam Trotman (Fragments of I Am) and Eliza Scott (Project # OUAHN, Unend). It is an experimental attempt to look at celebrity and the way we create ourselves.
